Collection basics
Trash: once a week. Recycling: every other week. Carts at the street by 7:00 p.m. the evening before.

When a holiday falls on a weekday, pickups on the holiday and later in the same week run one day late. A Saturday holiday changes nothing.
What goes in the recycling cart
- Flattened cardboard, no larger than 2 feet by 2 feet.
- Magazines.
- Office and copy paper.
- Brown paper bags.
- Newspaper.
- Paperboard, such as cereal boxes.
- Paper dairy and juice containers, rinsed.
- Phone books.
- Plastic bottles #1, 2, and 5, rinsed.
- Glass bottles and jars, rinsed.
- Clean aluminum cans, foil, and baking tins.
- Tin or steel cans.

Cart tips
- Put carts at the street by 7:00 p.m. the evening before.
- Point the arrows on the lid toward the street.
- Keep carts away from parked cars, mailboxes, and fire hydrants.
- Do not overfill.
- Break down cardboard.
